We're Not Going To Sit On Our Assets

There is always conflict between thinking long term versus thinking short term.  Industry standards are undoubtedly a long term play when you think about all the parts and players in the process.  And implementation timetables are often tied to normal upgrade cycles or complex development projects. Our goal is to simplify the standards implementation process.  The development of implementation tools is one way that we can realize short term gains along the way. We're talking to members about their challenges and impediments so we can be more proactive after standards are published.  We just do not want to sit on our assets, so to speak.
