I'm always looking for new ways to express the productivity benefits of ACORD standards. I've recently gone back to a nice video from IBM, which has been on YouTube for more than four years now, and has garnered almost 29,000 views. The five minute video demonstrates the “snap together” advantage of building business systems with components based on ACORD standards.
In the video, you can see a Claims application created around componentized ACORD objects in a Wiki architecture. The technologies used to glue this “situational application” together are less interesting than the fact that it's open industry standards that enables the whole project.
