Web company Go Daddy has registered a
patent for “announcing a domain name registration on a social website”. The nub
of the patented method seems to be the ability to create a time-triggered
announcement. Business process patents are always
controversial. Do they have much value? Would Go Daddy actually be able to
defend its rights to this process?
