I invited a group of members to our office in Pearl River yesterday to talk about ACORD Standards. These are the folks involved in many industry initiatives and their feedback will help in planning and resource allocation. The event also helped to synchronize what ACT, AUGIE and ACORD are doing, so we all can be more effective working together. I plan to meet with our members in every domain and region in 2007 because the discussions are very useful. The big tent events are exciting, but the small group meetings generate good ideas. I'll post more information on the meeting after I review the notes.
In the mean time, I want to thank our Board member hosts Keith Savino and Andy Fogarty for helping me by moderating the discussion. And thanks to all the participants including: Doug Allen, State Auto; Roger Barbe, Ohio Casualty; Ron Binning, NASPA; Bill Bunker, AMS; Clare DeNicola, IVANS; Stu Durland, ASCnet; Mike Gray, AMS UG; Doug Johnston, Applied; Rich Mathews, Cincinnati Financial; Jim Mastowski, Jimcor; Lisa Parry, ASCnet; Brady Polansky, Westfield; Graham Prior, Ebix; Rob Raus, Selective; Clark Sykes, Merchants; Bill Tedrick, NxTech; Angelyn Treutel, ACT; Virginia Vaughn, AneU; and Jeff Yates, ACT.
